About Me
The Official Stuff
Nice to meet you! My name is Mari (sounds like “Mario” but without the “o”) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and endorsed Infant Mental Health Specialist here in Colorado. I received my Masters in Social Work from MSU Denver in 2016, and attended the Irving Harris Fellowship for Infant Mental Health at the University of Colorado Anschutz campus from 2016-2017.
I am currently working as a social-emotional provider with Early Intervention Colorado in Arapahoe/Douglas and Jefferson Counties and have been enjoying supporting families of children aged 0-3 for the past 5 years. I am also an Adjunct Professor in the department of Social Work at MSU Denver, teaching Social Work Theory, Trauma-Informed Social Work, and Maternal-Infant Mental Health courses as well as some additional grant-writing work.
The Fun Stuff
While I have called Colorado home for the past 14 years, my heart will always belong to Minneapolis and the land of 10,000 lakes where I was born and raised. I consider myself “outsidey” as I enjoy being outdoors, am not afraid to get dirty, but I like creature comforts and camp with an inflatable mattress! I am lucky enough to call myself Mom to a dazzling 5 year old daughter who reminds me every day to add a little sparkle to my life. I am also Mom to 4 Scottish Fold cats who keep my husband and myself company all day as we work.
